The SystemUpdater is a name for a cartridge that was used during development for the Nintendo DSi. The cartridge can update or downgrade to v1.4, as well as change the region.

Features

The features for this cartridge are very simple. The cartridge contains updates for all regions (including China and Korea) and they will be installed when selected. When a region has been selected, all the data will be deleted from the NAND and devsigned TAD's will be installed.

Screenshots

The main menu, showing a selection of regions.
The updater asking if you want to continue, deleting all data from the console.
You can cancel the update by pressing B, freezing the menu, forcing you to restart.
Possible image of the cartridge. Voodooween said he only owns 1 flashable TWL cartridge.

Notes

  • Voodooween, the owner of this cartridge, has not made a proper dump yet, but he said he would like to release it soon, once he has the setup for it.
  • Unlike regular TWL carts that do not have NAND-access, this one does have NAND-access, just like TwlNmenu and NandFiler which can be uploaded to a reflashable cartridge.

Unconfirmed

  • It's possible that this cartridge changes the CID and the Console ID when formatting the NAND.
  • It's also possible that the cartridge might contain .TAD files with working tickets. However, these might be devsigned.
